Molecular Interactions at Marine Interfaces

Abstract

Approximately 25 scientists from around the world participated in a workshop aimed at discussing molecular interactions at marine interfaces from two perspectives: the chemistry of adhesive polymers and the biology of structures that serve as attachment organs of marine organisms. Detailed presentations of each area was complemented by joint discussions of the two perspectives in order to achieve interaction on the research programs supported by ONR. Adhesion, Biofouling, Adhesive polymers.
