Cellular Interactions in the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus.

Abstract

The technical report examines the progress made in the last year relating to our work on the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the circadian clock in the mammalian hypothalamus. Much of the work examines different aspects of glutamate neurotransmission. Glutamate is probably the transmitter of the retinohypothalamic pathway, and therefore plays an important role in entrainment of circadian rhythms.
