Computer-Based Dynamic and Finite Element Analysis of the Joint Services Imagert Processing System (JSIPS) Trailer; Modified M871A1, 22 1/2 Ton, Flatbed, Semi-Trailer

Abstract

This report describes the computer-based, dynamic and finite element analysis of the Joint Services Imagery Processing System (JSIPS) Trailer. The JSIPS trailer is a modified M87lAl, 22-1/2-ton, flatbed, semi-trailer. The M87lAl deck and frame were converted from a flatbed configuration into a gooseneck configuration. The computer-based dynamic and finite element analysis was performed in order to determine what effects the modification would have on the structural integrity and/or operational performance of the trailer. Computer-based simulation, Dynamic modeling, Finite element analysis, Vehicle performance
