Abstract

The potential of electro-optically reconfigurable phase-only diffractive devices as a suitable extension to static diffractive elements for optical free-space and waveguide interconnects is investigated through the fabrication, testing and modeling of polycrystalline PLZT/ITO ceramic electro- optic phase-only gratings.
