High Contrast Organic Crystal Optical Modulator for Phased Array Antenna and Optical Signal Processing

Abstract

The utility of organic salts related to 4-Dimethylamino-N-methyl Stilbazolium Tosylate, DAST, to display very useful optoelectronic properties has been broadly investigated and continues to yield new information. New materials have been developed having improved optical and physical properties. Methods for crystal growth and handling have been developed which allow the design and fabrication of useful optoelectronic devices. Design and fabrication of a linear array of high performance Fabry-Perot etalons is described. DAST, Fabry-Perot etalon, Optical modulator, Organic NLO materials.
