International Conference on Computer Aided Design, Manufacture and Operation in the Marine and Offshore Industries (5th), Incorporating the Ice Technology Workshop (4th) Held in Southampton, United Kingdom on September 13-16, 1994.

Abstract

The conference was sponsored and organized by the Wessex Institute of Technology, Southampton, in collaboration with the University of Southampton. Part I is divided into seven sections covering ship hydrodynamics; computational fluid dynamics (CFD); ship design; ship and offshore structures; ship motions, maneuvering and control; ship simulation, and ship propulsion. A bridging section on vessels and structures in ice, leads to the second part which is devoted to ice technology. Again, Part II contains some of the papers presented at the fourth meeting on Ice Technology (ITC 94), convened as a workshop during 15th and 16th September. The second part of the book contains sections on ice properties and modelling, as well as ice and ocean interaction.
