Mild Wind Series, Minute Steak Event

Abstract

MINUTE STEAK was the sixth underground nuclear test in the MILD WIND Series. It was detonated in drill hole Ullf at the Atomic Energy Commission's (AEC's) Nevada Test Site at approximately 1100 hours on 12 September 1969. The MINUTE STEAK program was designed to evaluate the response of military systems, subsystems, and components. The overall objective was to provide data which would further establish the validity of laboratory simulation and theoretical analysis of the response of a variety of test items
