East Asia: A Climatological Study. Volume 2: Maritime

Abstract

A climatological study of East Asia. This volume concentrates on the portion of East Asia that is directly influenced by a maritime weather regime. The region includes southeast and northeast China, Taiwan, and the Korean peninsula. After describing the geography and major meteorological features of the entire region, the study discusses in detail the climatic controls of each of East Asia's four 'zones of climatic commonality.' Each season is defined and discussed in considerable detail with emphasis on general weather, clouds, visibility, winds, precipitation, temperature, hazards, and trafficability
