Rocky Mountain Arsenal Hydrazine Blending and Storage Facility, Hazard Abatement Plan.

Abstract

The objectives of the hazard abatement plan is to eliminate the presence of NDMA within the hydrazine storage and blending facility and secondly to eliminate the potential exposure of workers to hydrazine and UDMH during any hydrazine operation. To accomplish this objective a phase approach will be employed to minimize emissions. The plan consists of the following four phases: (1) facility clean-up and decontamination, (2) facility modification-NDMA sources, (3) fuel systems modifications, (4) drum filling and cleaning and miscellaneous.
