Abstract

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) manages Research Grant number N00014-90-J-1422 for the United States Navy. Under the terms and conditions of the grant, ASEE is responsible for submitting an Annual Management Report. This is the 15th Annual Management Report for Research Grant number NOOO14-9O-J-1422. This report contains pertinent statistical and financial information for the 141 engineering and science faculty members who participated in the 1993 Navy-ASEE Summer Faculty Research Program. This report also includes pertinent statistical and financial information for participants in the 1993 Navy-ASEE Sabbatical Leave Program. During the summer of 1993, 141 engineering and science faculty members from 102 universities and colleges in 31 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, conducted research at 17 U.S. Navy Research and Development Centers. Since ASEE began management of this program in 1979, more than 1,600 science and engineering faculty members have participated. During the period from 0ctober 1990 through August 1994, ASEE has received 50 applications for the Navy-ASEE Sabbatical Leave Program. Of those 50 applicants, 25 were selected to receive funding. To date, 22 Sabbatical Leave participants have completed the program.
