Advanced Presort Process.

Abstract

The purpose of the Presort Processor is to excise strong narrow band signals from a wideband radar return. It is an optical notch filter based on acoustooptics and fourier transform optics. This latest iteration of this project uses a narrow bandwidth doubled Nd:YAG laser as an optical carrier and a TIR (total internal reflection) liquid crystal spatial light modulator to perform the frequency excision.
