Geotechnical Descriptors for Dredgeability.

Abstract

An investigation was made to identify the geotechnical properties of sediments that must be known for estimating, planning, and executing dredging projects and to define standard dredging-related descriptors that will indicate, or readily infer, the dredgeability of the in situ sediments. This technical note summarizes the findings of that study, which was conducted as part of the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station's Dredging Research Program. -BKA
