Ukrainian Summer School on Magnetism.

Abstract

The American Physical Society, in collaboration with the United States Physics Community and the Ukrainian Physics Community, have supported the development and execution of a series of high-level regional summer and winter schools in Ukraine. This is part of a larger program involving the physics communities of most of the newly independent states of the former Soviet Union. In continuation of this program, APS is participating in the organizing of the Summer School on Magnetism which will be held at the 8.1. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering in Kharkov from August 29 through September 5, 1994. The fields to be covered in this school include the magnetism of low dimensional systems, magnetic excitations, magnetic domains, magnetic interactions, and ordering and critical phenomena and phase transitions.
