Commercial Photorefractive Device Using Nonstoichiometric III-V Semiconductors.

Abstract

Non-stoichiometric (NS) III-V materials offer a unique opportunity to technologies such as optoelectronic based photorefractive devices that require both short carrier diffusion length and enhanced electrooptic properties. With the ability to process 2D data at rates two orders of magnitude higher than the capability of digital electronics, these devices will facilitate commercialization of enormously marketable technologies such as ultra high speed object recognition, defect and parts recognition in assembly lines and supermarkets, etc. jg p.3
