Abstract

This report provides an overview of the National Defense function of the federal budget. The National Defense Function (function 050) includes: DoD military activities (subfunction 051); the atomic energy defense activities of the Department of Energy (subfunction 053); and defense related activities of other federal agencies (subfunction 054). Data are provided in three standard budget categories: budget authority (BA), total obligational authority (TOA), and outlays. (KAR) P. 9
