Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present the experience and lessons-learned in the course of applying Software Technology for Adaptable, Reliable Systems (STARS) megaprogramming technologies to the Space Command and Control Architectural Infrastructure (SCAI) Demonstration Project. The report covers experiences related to Domain Engineering/Application Engineering, Process Support, Software Engineering Environment Support, Metrics, and Technology Transition. For each of the above areas the report provides a brief description and overview, followed by plans, summary of accomplishments, lessons learned, and recommendations. The SCAI project spans three years. The Preparation Phase, October '92 through October '93, was used to prototype technology assemble the team and plan the project.
