From the Sea .... From the CV: Do Carriers Really Contribute to Peace Operations.

Abstract

This study examines present carrier air power to determine how well it meets the requirements of a joint task force commander in peace operations. The aircraft carrier delivers a wide range of capabilities which have been the driving forces in its repeated deployments in such operations. Analysis yields particular mission areas requiring more effective capabilities for which solutions are offered.
