Engineering Evaluation of the MEMCOR Small ROWPU.

Abstract

The Department of the Air Force, Strategic Air Command (SAC) at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, requested that the MTC-B assist in conducting the inspection and acceptance testing of a Small ROWPU designed and manufactured by MEMCOR. The evaluation included a seawater and freshwater test to determine whether the small ROWPU met the AF requirements outlined in this report. The results indicated that while the small ROWPU met water production and quality requirements, there were human factors and safety deficiencies that must be addressed.
