A Model of Long Term Learning: Integration of Knowledge Acquisition and Knowledge Compilation.

Abstract

This report describes progress toward constructing a unified, computer-based model of all the major phenomena in cognitive skill acquisition. An extensive review of the literature was completed and published, along with several new analyses of important but hitherto neglected aspects of cognitive skill. However, the computational embodiment of the theory was only partially implemented during the 15 months of funding, and more work is needed. (AN)
