Application of the BATHTUB Model to Selected Southeastern Reservoirs.

Abstract

Eutrophication and eutrophication potential at selected Corps of Engineers reservoirs were evaluated using the model BATHTUB. Reservoirs included in the study were Allatoona Lake, Walter F. George Lake, West Point Lake, and Lake Sidney Lanier. BATHTUB models were calibrated using historic water quality data for each lake. Lake responses were evaluated based on estimates of nutrient loading and flushing rates. Calibrated models provide one means for evaluating management alternatives. (MM)
