Monitoring Plan for the Groundwater Intercept and Treatment System, North of Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Interim Response Action.

Abstract

This monitoring plan will allow assessment of the performance of the extraction/recharge systems in meeting the goals of the IRA and will allow collection of sufficient data to evaluate whether operational changes may be needed to improve system performance. The monitoring program described in this plan consists of the following procedures: Installation of additional monitoring wells, periodic measurement of water levels and collection and analysis of water quality samples before and after system startup, and evaluation of reporting of monitoring results to assess system performance and allow operational adjustments.
