Contamination Assessment Report, Phase I, Site 36-7, Solid Waste Burial /Sanitary Pits, Task 1, Section 36, Version 3.1.

Abstract

This final report documents the phase I contamination survey of site 36-7, and area used for incineration, burial of solid wastes, sanitary landfill, and possible chemical disposal. 65 samples from 21 borings were analyzed for semivolatile organics and metals with separate analyses for AS, HG, and DBCP. As, HG, CD, CU, Zn, ALDRN, DLDRN, and DIMP were detected above their respective indicator ranges; however, metal a geophysical investigation revealed several major anomalies. A phase II program consisting of 30 additional borings is recommended. The volume of potentially contaminated material present is estimated at 115,000 bank cubic yards. Appendices: chemical names, phase I chemical data, comments and responses.
