SPACECAST 2020 Process. Volume 2.

Abstract

SPACECAST 2020 was a Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF)-directed space study, challenged to identify and conceptually develop high-leverage space technologies and systems that will best support the warfighter in the twenty-first century. This is the second of four monographs: Executive Summary, the SPACECAST 2020 Process, The World of 2020 and Alternate Futures, and Operational Analysis. This monograph gives a description of how military officers used creative techniques and an innovative process to envision the space systems that would provide the capabilities required to support US national security objectives in the middle of the twenty-first century, the years 2020 to 2050.
