Advanced Nonlinear Optical Waveguides, Switches, Lasers, and Modulators for Integrated Interconnects and Systems.

Abstract

This program consisted of three independent elements, each with its own principal investigator, namely: Nonlinear Optical Switching Devices and Circuits; Cascading for Third Order Nonlinearities; and Novel Schemes for a Single Quantum Well Laser and Multiquantum Well Waveguide/Modulator Integration. The achievements in each of these programs will be discussed separately.
