Recovery of Uranium from Shales,

Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop a practical process for recovering uranium from domestic low-grade shales. Recent samples of these shales from Tennessee have been found to contain from 0.005 to 0.009 per cent of uranium. Preceding topical reports on this project (BMI-JDS-101 and -130) have described the work carried out prior to June 30, 1948. jg p.6
