Air Power and the Center of Gravity.

Abstract

Until the recent re-emphasis on Operational Art Studies. Campaign planners have virtually ignored enemy Center of Gravity identification. Air power is one of the many tools CINOS have to attack the enemy Center of Gravity and a particularly effective one due to its inherent Speed, Range, Flexibility, and Accessibility. This paper offers a Methodology for Center of Gravity identification and suggests air power as a means to neutralize the enemy Center of Gravity. In this way, air power can be used to reach strategic objectives.
