Annual Data Summary for 1993 CERC Field Research Facility. Volume 2: Appendixes C Through E.

Abstract

This report provides basic data and summaries for the measurements made during 1993 at the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Coastal Engineering Research Center's (CERC's) Field Research Facility (FRF) in Duck, NC. The report includes comparisons of the present year's data with cumulative statistics from 1980 to the present. Summarized in this report are meteorological and oceanographic data, monthly bathymetric samples of biannual aerial photography, and descriptions of 15 storms that occurred during the year. The year was high lighted by a major storm in mid March which caused extensive flooding and damage on the western (soundside) side of the Outer Banks. This report is the 15th in a series of annual summaries of data collected at the PRF that began with Miscellaneous Report CERC-82-16, which summarizes data collected during 1977-1979. These reports are available from the WES Technical Report Distribution Section of the Information Technology Laboratory, Vicksburg, MS.
