IR Materials Producibility.

Abstract

SRI International is submitting the Final Technical Report entitled "IR Material Producibility" for the referenced contract. Auto-compensation by isolated native point defects is not responsible for the type doping limitations in ZnSe-based materials. Excess generation of Frenkel defects at stacking faults is responsible for the operational degradation of ZnSe-based LEDs and lasers. (MM)
