Initial Results from Small-Scale Frost Heave Experiments in a Centrifuge,

Abstract

Frost heave modeling is presented as a problem of small-scale experimental modeling. Scale factors applicable to frost heave model testing are reviewed, and initial data from frost heave experiments conducted as centrifuge model tests are presented. Ongoing improvements, modifications and future model tests are discussed. (AN)
