Tunneling Spectroscopy of Ultrasmall Clusters and Grains.

Abstract

The Final Technical Report consists of 3 sections: (1) Summary; (2) Main Results; (3) Conclusion and Prospects. The main research achievement during this work has been the development of an original instrument for scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy, with electronic remote control of all its functions (including the coarse approach of the scanning tip), for a broad range of research applications.
