Cultural Resources Survey of Four Disposal Areas Along the Vermilion River Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.

Abstract

This document presents the procedures and findings from a cultural resources survey of four proposed disposal areas along the Vermilion River in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. Field work for the project, covering just under four acres, was conducted in November 1994. Each area was investigated with a combination of surface reconnaissance and subsurface testing. Aside from recent historic material, no cultural resources or significant standing structures were identified. No further work is recommended at any of the four areas.
