On the Design of Finite Impulse Response Filters for Precision Quadrature Demodulation,

Abstract

The accuracy of digital quadrature demodulation can be improved by optimizing the matching of the in-phase and quadrature channel frequency responses. It is shown that an image rejection ratio exceeding 100 dB can be achieved using a pair of finite impulse response filters having 6 and 5 nonzero coefficients, respectively. (AN)
