Free Electron Laser Technology Status in the United States.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the Free Electron Laser weapons development program from its beginnings in 1979 to the present. A historical overview of the programmatics will be provided but the primary emphasis will be the technical accomplishments made during this period.
