Study of Post Separation HIV-Positive Servicemen Lost to Follow-Up.

Abstract

In l985, the DoD started screening for antibody to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Once discharged from the Army, individuals previously followed, can become lost to follow-up, seeking medical care through VA, other military or private care facilities. Lost to follow-up is defined as a year passing since last clinical staging evaluation.
