Dust Sweep-Up Experiments.

Abstract

The current documentation reports results obtained from a recent technical study which included: diagnostics support for a series of agent expulsion experiments at the Waterways Experiment Station (WES), further analysis of wind tunnel measured results from the Dust Sweep Up investigation completed just prior to the present program and dust scouring experiments for soils simulating such real surface textures as ridges, clods, stubble, gravel and moisture content. Some typical findings from the Real Surface experimental study include: Real surface experimental consistently caused reduction in lofting rates relative to flat erodible soil beds.
