Fluoride Removal Studies at Rocky Mountain Arsenal,

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the applicability of alumina in removing fluorides from carbon adsorption treated north boundary water. A literature search was made to survey all fluoride removal methods. As a result of this search, alumina columns were found to be the most likely candidate. Tests were outline, set-up and run to answer questions as to the best values required for the most efficient fluoride removal.
