Modification and Verification of an Antenna Design for the Petite Amateur Navy Satellite (PANSAT) Using NEC.

Abstract

In this thesis, a tangential turnstile antenna is modified and verified for the Petite Amateur Navy Satellite (PANSAT). The Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC) is used to model the antenna system. The final design provides a circularly polarized, omnidirectional radiation pattern with maximum nulls of -2.7 dRi. Two alternative antenna feed systems are proposed.
