A Coaxial Extrusion Conversion Concept for Polymeric Flat Plate Solar Collectors.

Abstract

This study investigated materials and processes for fundamental improvements in flat-plate solar collector cost and performance. The goal was to develop a process for direct conversion of inexpensive raw materials into a completed solar collector unit without labor intensive assembly operations. It was thought that materials carefully matched to the process and 'end-use' environment would substantially reduce collector costs, as compared to conventional industry practice. jg p7
