Silent Inspector User's Manual.

Abstract

This report describes use of the Silent Inspector (SI) system developed for monitoring hopper dredge operations. The system collects and records measurements from shipboard sensors, calculates the dredging activities being performed and the weight of the material recovered in tons dry measure, and displays this information through standard reports and graphical data displays. Recorded data are also automatically backed up, and later archived to allow transfer of the data to other locations, and to provide a permanent record of the dredging activity. (MM)
