Evaluation of Elastomers as Gasket Materials in Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems.

Abstract

In the search for superior materials from which to make gaskets for pneumatic and hydraulic systems at the Kennedy Space Center, promising materials were selected from a number of vendors, and then tested. The testing was conducted in two phases. Those materials that passed the tests of Phase I were tested in Phase II and categorized in the order of their preference. jg p2
