Assessment of Current U.S. Department of Transportation Fire Safety Efforts.
Abstract
This report presents the results of an assessment of current fire safety efforts related to transportation. Emphasis has been placed on Federal Government efforts, particularly those by the U.S Department of Transportation. In conducting this assessment, TSC has reviewed and incorporated into this report the pertinent information resulting form the following efforts: (1) A Search and Review of Public and Private Sector Programs, (2) Identification and Review of Existing Data Banks (Materials and Accident Statistics), (3) Identification and Review of Existing Regulations, Standards, Specifications, and Guidelines.
