Prototype Line of Sight and Target Acquisition Software for High Resolution Databases.

Abstract

This report describes the generation of terrain visualizations from a database of 1 meter resolution. It utilizes a ray trace algorithm, but because it is not object based, requires the same time to render a scene irrespective of the number of objects viewed. A menuing system for allowing data input to the program is described. Implementation of the ACQUIRE target detection algorithms are also described, together with some advantages of using a higher resolution database. (AN)
