Thermophysical Properties Data on Graphite/Polyimide Composite Materials.

Abstract

Experimental data for the thermal conductivity, thermal expansion, specific heat, and emittance of 0 and 0, 45, 90, 135sub s laminates of HTS/NR 150B2 and HTS/PMR 15 are presented. Measurements were made over the temperature range 116 K to 588 K (-250 F to 600 F). Results for the two materials were similar with some differences attributable to laminate quality. Higher expansion coefficients for the HTS/PMR 15 specimens in the resin-dominated directions indicate a higher coefficient for PMR 15 than NR 150B2. (MM)
