Abstract

This publication describes how we build such teams. Chapter 1 discusses why we fight, the nature of modern war, and the consequent impact on joint action. Chapter II develops basic military values as they apply to joint teamwork. Chapter III presents the fundamentals of joint warfare. Chapter IV discusses the unifying focus for US military operations, the joint campaign. The publication concludes with an example of a campaign that illustrates these themes.
