Administrative and Logistic Responsibilities for DoD Dependents Schools.
Abstract
This Manual is issued under the authority of DoD Directive 1342.6, 'Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS),' October 13, 1992. It prescribes uniform procedures for the DoD Components to follow when providing administrative and logistic support to the DoDDS. DoD 1342.6-M-1, 'Administrative and Logistic Responsibilities for DoD Dependents Schools,' October 1978, is hereby canceled. This Manual applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Military Departments, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Unified and Specified Commands, the Defense Agencies, and the DoD Field Activities administratively supported by the OSD (hereafter referred to collectively as 'the DoD Components'). To the extent that Military Services issuances or publications conflict with this Manual, this Manual shall govern. This Manual is effective immediately and is mandatory for use by all the DoD Components. The heads of the DoD Components may issue supplementary instructions only when necessary to provide for unique requirements within their DoD Components. Such supplements must be coordinated and approved by the DoDDS before implementation.
