Abstract

This publication is prepared from information submitted annually to Washington Headquarters Services, Directorate for Information Operations and Reports (WHS/DIOR), under Reports Control Symbol DD-COMP(A) 1600. Information is reported to WHS/DIOR by the Military Departments and Defense Agencies. These data provide statistics on the number of active duty military and direct hire civilian personnel by operating location in the United States, with operating location defined as the geographic location where personnel are located for the performance of work. This report is divided into two sections. In each, the information is presented according to Defense Component, including the Military Departments (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and the category 'Other DoD Organizations.'
