Democracy in the Republic of Korea: Real or Imaginary? Factionalism in the New Korea Democratic Party.

Abstract

This study discusses the political strategy of the New Korea Democratic Party (NKDP) and examines alternatives to that strategy. It concludes that the party's efforts to stifle dissent in the NKDP could have deleterious effects on democracy in the Republic of Korea.
