47-FT Motor Lifeboat Tactical Maneuvering Reverification Testing.

Abstract

Reverification testing was performed on a preproduction 47-FT Motor Lifeboat to obtain an updated view of maneuvering and control performance. Standard vessel test procedures were employed. The testing was done on the CG-47201 which was considered nearest in configuration to the production run 47-Fr Motor Lifeboats scheduled for delivery in 1997. The test results were compared to the performance on the prototype CG-472OO in 1991 and to data collected on the CG-47201 after changeout to DDEC engines in 1994.
