Joint Transform Correlator Using CRT-LCLV Spatial Modulator,

Abstract

In this article, a type of binary joint transform correlator based on an electrically addressed spacial light modulator is described. This system primarily includes a cathode ray tube coupled liquid crystal light valve (CRT-LCLV), a CCD camera, and a COMPAQ 386 computer. On a foundation of theoretical analysis, this article gives results of computer simulations and preliminary experiments, clearly showing that the correlator has good discrimination characteristics.
