Health Services Operations and Readiness,

Abstract

This Directive establishes policy and assigns responsibilities under Titles 10 and 37, United States Code for matters related to health services operations and readiness, including, but not limited to, medical manpower, medical personnel, medical compensation, military medical training, medical logistics, and the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP). Detailed procedures on the above matters, as required, shall be prescribed in DoD Instructions and policy memoranda. It authorizes the publication of DoD 6010.13-M, 'Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System for Fixed Military Medical and Dental Treatment Facilities.' This Directive replaces DoD Directives 1215.4, 1312.2, 1340.8, 1340.13, 6000.2, 6010.13, 6010.17, 6015.16, 6025.12, and 6430.2; DoD Instructions 6010.12 and 6010.19; and DoD 6025.l2-STD.
